The study evaluated data from 95,464 women aged 25 to 42, recording a total of 109 cases of early-onset colorectal cancer.

Each additional serving of SSB per day was associated with a significant 16% increased risk of developing early-stage colorectal cancer in adults. The situation was even worse for teenagers aged 13 to 18 – their risk increased by 32 percent with each daily serving of sugary drinks.
